Founded in 1499, Universitat de València is one of the oldest universities in Spain. The university promotes the search for new knowledge, scientific and technological development, and evaluates the results of them, both in basic and applied research, transferring the results of the research to the productive sectors, contributing to technical progress and economic and social development. Today, Universitat de València has three campuses housing 18 schools and faculties. The university has an enrollment of about 45,000 undergraduate and 8,000 postgraduate students.
