About This Partner

Since its foundation in 1952, Chonnam National University (CNU)has been the proud center for the region’s globalization efforts. CNU is home to some 1,400 international students from every corner of the world, and it sends and receives more than 1,200 students every year through partnerships with some with around 560 universities in 62 different countries. CNU also has outstanding Korean language programs operated by its Language Education Center, teaching the Korean language to approximately 1,300 students annually.

Chonnam National University is located in the southwestern part of the Korean Peninsula. CNU has strong research capacity, being ranked in 2017 and 2018 first in the amount of research funds received among Korean National Universities for two consecutive years. CNU is comprised of several colleges as well as a Medical School, Graduate School of Dentistry, Law School and School of Business.
