The history of the Universitat Politècnica de València goes back to 1968 when the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Valencia was created , made up of the School of Agricultural Experts, the School of Architecture, the School of Civil Engineering, and the School of Engineers. In 1970, the Higher Polytechnic Institute moved to the campus of Vera and, a year later, the institution was definitively established as Universitat Politècnica de València. The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is a public, dynamic and innovative institution that is dedicated to researching and teaching. UPV is the only technology university in Spain to be featured in all the major world rankings. UPV maintains strong bonds with its social environment and a strong presence abroad. UPV offers degrees that are modern, flexible and adapted to our society.
