International Activity
All countries and all regions; current focus on China, Japan, France, Indonesia, Colombia I support the various units in the Office of International Affairs as well as college and department initiatives in the global arena. As Director of the Global Training Initiative, I work with a fabulous staff of EPA professionals who are committed to supporting the University's Strategic Initiatives to promote global engagement for NC State students, faculty, and staff - as well as our industry and civic partners across the state. We assist faculty with international training program grants and grant-funded programs, develop and manage professional training programs (e.g., Higher Education Administration, Drug Safety, Public Administration, etc.,) foster domestic and international student interactions through our Cultural Exchange Network (CENet), produce training modules and media that promote academic integrity and cross-cultural competence, facilitate international student internships (overseas for NC State students and in NC for students at our partner universities overseas), host international student group programs (e.g., SKEMA) and academic camps or programs. We also offer a one semester Certificate program for overseas students (direct enroll study abroad in the Fall semester), support the University's 3+X Accelerated Master's program, and other innovative, cost-effective international programs.
